The right is trying to sell the idea that black America is the real racist out there, citing Obama's greater than nine to one lead over McCain for the black vote. First he wasn't black enough, now he's too black. How times have changed.
Yes, there are black bigots. But the right's fetish to out as many blacks as racists smacks of a particularly odd sort of irony. Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Michelle Obama, Jesse Jackson -- all have been painted by conservative commentators with the same brush reserved for the George Wallace's of the world.
It's a little like the pot calling the kettle... you know what -- I'm just going to leave it alone.
It's almost as though they feel like they're missing out on something.
