An Associated Press-Univision Poll found that 61 percent of people overall said Hispanics face significant discrimination, compared with 52 percent who said blacks do and 50 percent who said women.

The survey also underscored how perceptions of prejudice can vary by ethnicity. While 81 percent of Latinos said Hispanics confront a lot or some discrimination, a smaller but still substantial 59 percent of non-Hispanics said so.

As much confusion and lack of dialogue as there is in this country regarding the black community and homosexuality, it could be a lot worse.

Malawi’s first openly gay couple was ordered to serve a 14-year jail term, the maximum punishment allowed under a law that forbids homosexuality in the country.

*At least according to this, we're sure, very scientific poll that measures victimhood.

We love Bill Cosby and clearly he's deserving of winning the Mark Twain award for humor.  But the fun and funny guy from records and The Cosby Show has been replaced by some old dude who can ruin any moment with quotes like this:

 In an earlier interview with The A.P., Mr. Cosby said he had previously refused the award because he was disappointed with the profanities used in a 1998 ceremony honoring Richard Pryor.

Ah... that's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

And while whites have long accepted blacks as entertainers, they're just now accepting them as politicians.

While people may have been watching Cosby, Michael Jackson and Magic Johnson in '84, they sure weren't voting for Jesse.
