Dr. King would have turned 80 yesterday and on Tuesday the nation will inaugurate its first African-American president.

Hardly seems like a coincidence.

The last time CC made the news was down in New Orleans, post-Katrina.

Now, though, the original Chocolate City is preparing to host as many as two million people who are in town for the inauguration.  Now if we can just do something about that whole, taxation without representation thing.

Analysts here believe the Los Angeles Police Department chose a poor time to dismiss a report denying racial bias in its policing.  Particularly in light of the Oscar Grant case in Oakland.

There are a lot of black or Hispanic bad guys, analysts here aren't naive.

Mexico.

Analysts here take very seriously the economic crisis confronting us and realize why a fantastic story like Paranin's prediction has been getting play.  But that he thinks the Red State south is ready to bow to the influences of another country, let alone Mexico, shows how little time Paranin has spent in this country.
