A see-saw week ends on an up-note lifted in part by a favorable political climate overseas.

Barrack Obama's political stop the latest in a trend started by Stew and continued in author Paul Beatty's new tome "Slumberland".

It's not a good week when retired animatronic puppets from Showtime Pizza parlor make a more interesting music video for your single than you do.

Bsi 1,143.04 -10.18 -.88%

A slight downtick brought in large part from CNN and their "Black in America" series, a program where black academics will explain what it's like to be "black in America" to a studio and television audience comprised almost exclusively of black Americans.

The programs strong overnight ratings could lead to a trend.  One which most analysts believe will do little to improve race relations -- particularly if certain parties get involved.

Rick Ross

"I'm So Hood!"

The news that Ross spent time as a Florida corrections officer wouldn't have been damaging were it not for the lengths to which he went to deny the story and the backwards logic of the brand of hip-hop he pedals, which tends to view gainful, licit employment as a negative.  I can't imagine the street will react kindly.
