A slight downtick brought in large part from CNN and their "Black in America" series, a program where black academics will explain what it's like to be "black in America" to a studio and television audience comprised almost exclusively of black Americans.
The programs strong overnight ratings could lead to a trend. One which most analysts believe will do little to improve race relations -- particularly if certain parties get involved.
