Friday the 13th doesn't scare away gains in the market.

Henry Aaron (HA44) 11.32 +4.39 +38.78%

Hammerin' Hank may just find his way back into the record books after word came out that A-Rod, the media-appointed rightful heir to the legitimate home-run crown, has also been ensnarled in the widening steroids scandal.

Remember what I said... I'd like to take all that back.

Chris Brown (CBRN) .47 -7.84% -94.34%

You'd almost have to go back to O.J. to see such an rapid, out-of-nowhere devaluation.

Chris ain't got nothin' on Enron.

A bit of a nose-dive today as Elgin Baylor, one of the worst General Managers in the history of professional sports, sues the Los Angeles Clippers for age and race discrimination upon being terminated after 22 years with the team.

If he was only half this good as a GM.

It's a miracle Baylor, one of the greats of the college and pro game while a player, kept the job as long as he did.

The latest in the Chris Brown/Rhianna saga leads the way to another day of losses.

For better or for worse, this market, like others, tends to react wildly to rumors and hearsay.

Fran Ross' 1974 novel is a witty, hilarious story of a young bi-racial woman, nicknamed "Oreo", who goes on a quest to find her father.

She also wrote for Richard Pryor... c'mon, how could you NOT check this book out?

Angela Davis Biopic

Analysts here are not fans of the biopic genre.  The news that Beyonce is being tapped to play civil rights leader Angela Davis hasn't done anything to change this sentiment.

The week starts on a down note as police arrest Chris Brown...

...A-hem, CHRIS BROWN...

That's more like it.

"Disturbia"... indeed.

Analysts here are willing to let due process run its course, however, if Rhianna was a victim of any kind, she'd be doing herself and A LOT of women a great service by shining a light on domestic abuse.
