Tavis Smiley's 10th annual State of the Black Union brought together the old guard (Sharpton, West, Waters, Dyson) and the new (Michael Steele and Barack Obama, via video) to tell us what we already knew: there's a black president and people are scared about the economy.
Consider it the black intellectual freaknik.
