Overheard at the New York Post's Page Six:

"Should we fact check this piece on Desiree Rogers stabbing Obama in the back by taking her new job at Johnson publishing to make sure we got everything right?"

"Why? We get this. I mean, it's not like there are TWO black Johnson media empires or anything."

And that's how they get shit wrong. Too lazy to be real.

Apparently in wont of networks to destroy, Bob Johnson's taken time from backtracking on his early Barack Obama stance to worm his way back into the cable TV business with Urban Television.

Just when we thought he was out, he's pulled back in.

Johnson kicks off his triumphant return by entering into a pissing war with TV One president Alfred Liggins over a FCC filing.  What's particularly vexing about this whole ordeal is that Johnson, while probably being the person most responsible for the still-born status of black original programming on cable television, happens, in this instance, to be right.

Why the black on black crime, folk?

We have no illusions that Urban Television will be anything more than another opportunity for Johnson to reap huge profits at the expense of an under-served market, but that doesn't change the fact that it has a right to exist.
