Trillion-dollar deficit forecasts, a conflict in the Middle East and the deepening financial crisis all make it so President-Elect Barack Obama will have his work cut out for him.
However, the television networks, including cable outlets such as HBO, are placing bets that at least Obama's star power will carry over into the new year.
